Prior to joining M7 Investment Management LLP in April 2009, Richard founded Halverton REIM LLP (now GPT Halverton), a European real estate fund management business which was sold to The GPT Group (an Australian listed property trust) in July 2007.

Richard has over 18 years of real estate experience.

From 2005 to early 2009, Richard was CEO of GPT Halverton which at the time of sale to GPT employed c.180 people across ten European offices and managed over €2bn of assets.

Prior to this, Richard was International Investment Director of Teesland iOG (now Valad), and was responsible for setting up Teesland iOG’s international infrastructure, including offices in Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Warsaw, Copenhagen and Madrid.  Between 2001 and 2007, Richard oversaw the acquisition of over €2.5bn of assets on behalf of investors in Teesland iOG and GPT Halverton-managed funds.

At M7, Richard is CEO and is responsible for the strategic direction of M7 and plays a major role in the sourcing of assets. He is a member of the M7 Management Board.
