Mark Hanson

Mr. Hanson is a qualified barrister and solicitor (NZ, UK, HK & Australia) with a 22 –year career in investment banking specializing in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and structured finance including the formation of investment funds.

Coming originally from New Zealand, Mr. Hanson has worked in London initially and spent 11 years in Hong Kong and two years in Singapore. More recently he worked in Saudi Arabia for three years and has been based in Bahrain since January 2007.

In Asia he acted in the capacity of Chief Executive of one bank (Bain Securities Limited) and Managing Director (Peregrine Capital Limited) of another. In addition he spent three and half years as Deputy Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Until recently he was the Chief Executive of a Bahrain based Islamic Investment Bank (Global Banking Corporation) which is capitalized at US$250 million which is active in private equity, real estate and energy financial services.
